About Us

Welcome to the medical practice of Laureen Forgione-Rubino, M.D., F.A.C.S. We specialize in laparoscopic, computer assisted (robotic) and minimally invasive single incision surgeries, high risk breast patient care, varicose vein treatments, skin lesion removal and cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Laureen Forgione-Rubino sees patients throughout the state of Connecticut in her private practice, working with local primary care physicians, OB/GYN’s, plastic surgeons and oncologists to create comprehensive treatment plans for her patients. She is on staff at Manchester Memorial HospitalRockville General HospitalSt. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, and Hartford Hospital.

Our goal is to provide quality medical care utilizing cutting edge treatments and tools, both in our office and at the hospital. We value our patients’ time, and strive to offer a variety of treatments to provide efficient and effective health care.

For example, our on-staff sonographer can provide ultra-sounds on-site for varicose vein evaluations, eliminating the need for our patients to make additional appointments at a radiology clinic. Most patients do not need to go to the hospital for breast biopsies; we perform them in our comfortable office suite, so that we can move forward with a timely diagnosis and treatment.

In addition to making the process easier and more efficient for our patients, we understand the importance of your health, not just physically, but also mentally. Often, concerned patients are anxious and “just need to know” about the state of their health. We strive to provide diagnoses in a timely manner to ease your concerns, answer your questions, and get you on the path for a treatment program. For example, we provide our patients with breast biopsy results within 24 hours.

Many of our patients find comfort in receiving care from a female physician who understands their fears and need for privacy in a nurturing environment of care. Our experienced staff members strive to create a seamless process for setting up appointments, working with insurance companies, organizing health records, and coordinating with the patient’s medical team.
